I am fostering a mama cat who is about to have her first liter... what I am wondering, is if I can out a tiny day of extra virgin olive oil on her nipples to help keep them from being chapped and red?? I can't get coconut oil until tomorrow afternoon and was wondering if there was anything I could do to help it tonight... also this is my first time with a mama who hasn't given birth yet. I've helped with kittens MANY time, just not the birthing process. Still a little new at that.

Yes, one time shouldn't hurt. We are here to help you with any problems that may arise, there is a wealth of information in old threads too. Just keep her well hydrated and nourished and have a quiet place for her to be, those are the most important things right now. Try to give her comfort, she needs it....bless you for helping her, you have a good heart!
