New Home. Should I Get Another Kitty?

So I recently moved into a new apartment with my 2 year old kitty, Lou. He seems pretty adjusted already. Playing, sleeping, eat regularly and even using the new Litter Robot. I had another cat but he went to live with my ex. I feel like Lou would benefit from having a playmate. He is a super friendly, affectionate kitty. Will go right up to anyone who walks in the house and give them kisses. He is the least skiddish cat i’ve ever encountered. I was just looking for some advice on whether getting a kitten for him now is a good idea.

Hard to say how he would react. But if he enjoyed the other cat, and you are up for giving it a try i would go for it. Personally i like more than one cat. I know it doesn't work for everyone, but i think they do better, are happier if they have a friend. Just my opinion and experience.

I've only ever had one cat at a time, but I think the younger he is when you get a second cat the better he'll probably adjust.

And the ones for introductions if you decide to go ahead with a 2nd cat, though if you get a kitten, it might not require as strict a separation period.
