just adopted a new beautiful 5 month old cat yesterday, his name is mika and color is black and grey and I really want to know what bread he is

Yes, Mika appears to be a black smoke domestic shorthair. Lovely cat!

Although smoke is not common, it definitely does exist in the domestic cat population. My family had a black smoke barn cat when I was growing up; she was beautiful! It's a subtle and mysterious color.
