Maybe put the basket on top of the bed for now until bedtime. Then put them in the bathroom at night so mom cannot move them.

You would need to put mom's food, water, and litter in the bathroom overnight.

Ok good idea! I'll try that. She guards them with her paws. She wraps her whole body around all for of them and lays her head down so you can't see them lol.
