My short haired Persian is losing hair under his nose/on one side of his mouth...

My little Winston is losing hair on one side of his Mouth under his nose I see little black dots could it be cat acne???? It’s not red or inflamed he’s eating and drinking fine...

Could he be rubbing that area on the bottom of his food dish? What is his food/water bowls and dishes made of? Some people use flat paper or disposable plates to feed, and ceramic for water as long as the glaze on the ceramic is intact and not cracking or crazing.

His bowl is metal...he licks a lot and his nose runs sometimes but that can be common in this breed.

Can you obtain a ceramic bowl, and see if you can wipe his face/nose/mouth/chin more frequently?
