So a little over a week ago I got a new kitten. He’s been a wonderful addition to the family, but since I saw him at the shelter I’ve noticed his tail looks a bit off. I’ve attached two pictures.
He isn’t in pain, and I’ve seen him biting/playing with his tail or just chasing it around so I know it doesn’t hurt. He doesn’t run off when I pet his tail, even near where it bends the most. It doesn’t seem to bother him, but I don’t think their tails looking like this is normal.
I have a vet appointment scheduled for a month since that was the soonest initial consult I could get.
I really don’t know what this means or if I need to seek help sooner for him. He is about five months old and still acts completely normal. Why is his tail floppy? Is he just quirky?
