My cat touched the exact spot I put Minoxodil on my head. Could she get sick?

I applied minoxidil (or Rogain) to the top of my head about five to five and a half hours ago and went to bed. My cat decided to get my attention this morning my pawing the top of my head in the exact same spot. It’s been hours and the area is completely dry, but I don’t know how toxic this stuff is. I know it’s poisonous to cats. Am I overthinking this or will she need to go to the vet?

Our cat did teh same thing a few years ago, when it was JUST applied and not dried. He was fine. Even an hour later should be fine, it absorbs quickly and since it was dry the contact was minimal. As always, just observe for any radical changes, like hiding or throwing up.

It is very toxic to cats. You need to get your cat to a vet. If you can wash where you think your cat has touched, do so in cool water with dawn dish soap, only if you can do so safely. Call your nearest ER and ask for advice. Although the above mentioned cat was fine, it doesn’t mean yours will be.
