The cat moved them to the closet and few hours later one of the kittens died, I know that it's pretty common for newborn cats to die, I've found her just smashed but not flat like a pancake But i felt like i could've done more to prevent that and i felt an extreme amount of guilt and sadness and i cant get over it, What do i do to get over it?

Make sure momma has it comfortable and not too tight. Good food, water, litter nearby. Weigh the kittens every day - so you see they do add at least 6+ grammes every day - preferably 10+ grammes. At the same time you get a quick look see how they are... Of course be sure there arent no fleas on them...
With smashed, you mean you think momma happened to lie it to death? IF so the most probable was it was already dying, and momma just helped her to go on.

Make sure the nest is big enough for mom to stretch out fully while nursing. Hopefully this won't happen again.
