Hello!
Yesterday I gave our cat a canned cat food - I checked and it was way before the expiration date. I moved the contents of the can so it would be easier for the cat to eat, and I didn't notice any mold. The problem is that we forgot to put it back in the fridge, because obviously the cat didn't eat it all at once. So it was there for like a whole day.
The next day it was half eaten, I picked it and after moving the content a bit it had some mold in the borders and some red dots. I don't know if the cat ate it then or just when I opened the can (the only moment I saw her eating it).
It's been more than 24 hours since and my cat seems normal. Should I be worried? Does food poisoning in cats take long if it happens at all?
Than you very much for any answers.
