My sister and I shared a bed until we were about 8-10 years old and then we got to move into my brothers room with twin beds and we were so excited! My brothers were older and off on their own. My father wallpapered and painted and buffed the floors. I remember fondly white curtains with purple trim made of polyester from our local discount store.
My sister and I loved stuffed animals. We had a tin globe of the world which I loved to study!
When I was in high school, I had a shortwave radio and spent so much time in my room, fascinated with broadcasts from around the world! At the time, I could not believe I was picking up broadcasts from across the ocean!
I loved to listen to Beatles music on my cassette tape recorder ,( which I recorded from the albums off of our stereo in the living room)! and had some Beatles posters.
Every Saturday was our chore day and we would dust and sweep and clean our room top to bottom!
