Before I begin I want to say: I know you guys are not vets, and this issue is currently being monitored by two vets at the moment. This is just my curiosity getting to me.

Does mold (I am guessing black mold in this case, but I cant be too sure) smell like something to cats? Cuz one of my cats has been having accidents, but only in the bathroom by the tub (trust me, I looked all around the house, that is the only place). I noticed the floor was loose near the tub and I was able to lift it and found like the whole front of the tub plus like 2 feet infront of it was covered in mold. I am getting someone out to test the mold and then to fix it.

It could be nothing honestly. I could be over thinking this.

(She is going back today for more bloodwork. So far her urine, stool, and blood have been clear. She was on antibiotics just in case it was an upset tummy thing. I have been using calming spray and treats in case its an outside cat or she's stressed. The area where she has been going...idk what it is? it looks like tile but its just a sheet of a plastic like material made to look like it...has been cleaned with a different product each time (we are up to 5 accidents now, mostly stool) that are marketed for animal accidents)

I would say cats can definitely smell mold, I'm surprised YOU can't smell it if there is that much and you have lifted up the linoleum (that's probably what your flooring is to expose it. It's possible if the flooring was loose that some of her urine slid under the flooring and wasn't cleaned up with the enzyme cleaner you used, and it's also possible that she is pooping in it to try to hide the mold smell. Do you need this bathroom right now or can you close it off? If it's black mold that's a health risk and more so to small animals, so until you know for sure I wouldn't let any living thing in there, especially if there is that much. Have you already contacted a mold "specialist" to come check it out?
