So it's about 10 weeks. Perhaps you should call the vet just to give him an update and see what he thinks. It could be any day, but I would get him on board in case there is a problem.
Your cat could have a full week left. Has your vet taken an x-ray? Is that how he determined the "due date"?
Just doing the math from when you noticed her nipples puts her more at eight weeks along. Cats can go up to 70 days. It's highly unlikely that she would not go into labor on her own.
If you have concerns I suggest an x-ray at the vet. This will probably answer your questions and allay your concerns.
No xray just a feel around the vet just seemed very confident with her estimation she said.. "little kidney shapes approx 3, no more than 4 kittens. 4weeks left because of how well she could feel the babies".. by no movement 8 just mean with all the threads ive read through I see lots of people mentioning seeing or feeling movement of the tummy. I dont really like to touch her tummy too much though knowing myself how annoying it is when everyone wants to touch your baby bump :lol3: i may contact the vet friday i dont want to stress triggie for my own reassurance
Trigs in early labour (i think) heavy panting, constantly licking herself seems a little agitated purring like no tomorrow. In the crate we set up in the cupboard.. She wont let me leave her side, any tips? Please
Slight mishap..she attacked the kitten so had to intervene sat with them now kitten feeding im encouraging her to be nice and good girl as im typing kitty number 2 has been born
Yes still just the 2 she seems more relaxed now not sure if shes producing milk one kitten seems to be happily feeding the other deems to be trying everyone but to no avail. Been to the emerg. Vets and picked up a milk replacement so we are prepared to assist
No the vet would only give me a feeding bottle thankfully trigs seems to of settle more. She picked the one kitten up (by its head..):rolleyes2 and seemed to be showing it to me but didnt want me to touch then put it back
