Hi everyone! I joined this forum a little bit ago because my cat Bandit had gotten suddenly terrified of the bed. I meant to come over here and introduce myself sooner, but the last week at work was nuts and then I came down with an awful stomach bug. Anyway, I’m here now and happy to report, Bandit is not quite back to normal - still a bit skiddish on the bed, but is sleeping and playing on it again! She’s actually sleeping on my legs right now
So I wanted to introduce the little trouble maker! Sorry for the bad image, my phone and camera are currently cracked!
Bandit is about 2 1/2-3, a tiny tortie with the sweetest personality. I adopted her from the ASPCA in NYC when she was a few weeks old and so small when I took her home I remember looking at her inside her carrier and she looked like a little mouse! She was having diarrhea constantly when she was a baby and the ASPCA didn’t even notice, so she was extremely underweight. But the second I walked in she was purring and kissing me, and I fell in love. We took her home and fixed up her bad tummy and she’s been perfect ever since!
I also have a 5 year old black cat, Scout. She’s not quite a long hair, but definitely not a short hair. I got her from a woman whose cat had kittens when I was still living in LA. She came back to NYC with us (in the car and was such a good girl too!) Scout is a chubby girl, we want to put her on a diet but she just loves to eat so much! She’s not as much of a lap cat as Bandit - she likes to be on the periphery, but always close (upstairs but looking down at us or right under the bed). She does come down to the bed after dinner for a good cuddle session every night though! Scout can be a bit moody and is HIGHLY intelligent. Almost so much so that it’s scary! I’m actually going to post a thread about her now because I need some advice on something.
But those are my babies! Happy to be here and so thankful for all the great advice and support I got from everyone with my first post!
