Welcome to The Cat Site! What cute little toe beans, even if they are peeling. This is the most recent thread posted here about peeling paws and it has some advice.
Kittens Paws Peeling And Other Concerns
What appears in your pic is peeling, which would make me guess a contact allergy, but what we don't know is if this could be the first stage of an issue with the pads. If they become cracked or overly dry, they can become infected. Since they don't look dry in the pic, I don't necessarily think that rubbing anything on them as a home remedy might do much. I don't think this is an emergency where you need to run someplace today, but I would get it checked out.
