Hi all,

We go Mia last Wednesday and she was always a good eater and very playful. She would drink water on her own and uses the litter box. Sunday we took her to the vet because she has discharge from her eye. THey put her on amoxicillin. We had to discontinue it after 3 days because it gave her diarrhea, but the discharge and her stuffiness has cleared up. Since yesterday she hasn't eaten much at all which is very odd because before she would eat 4 times a day. Tried different foods and even tuna with water but nothing. Interesting part is, she is still very active and playful. Called the vet to make another appointment today because she is only 7 weeks and weighs only 1.5 lbs so I didn't want to chance waiting another day or so to see if she would eat.

Anyone ever experience this?

Good to check with a vet, cats can have many different medical reasons for not eating. Cats are very good at hiding pain, so that's why she's probably still playful, despite what GI distress might be causing her to refuse food.

Good with vet visit asap. Does she drinks? Try with goats milk or kmr. If desperate get pedialyte into her, bough or homemade. IF she gets more antibiotica give with a mild yoghurt.

Hi guys, sorry took a while to respond.

The vet said that she looks healthy. Her infection in her eyes cleared up and her lungs and everything else are clear and she looks great. They checked a stool sample and it came back positive so they gave us medication for that. They said that was probably the reason why she wasn't eating for a bit. but of course ONCE we got home from the vet she ate half a 3oz can of food. Go figure, but at least we went and now she wont have parasites anymore. Since then, she has been eating normal again.
