I want to start off by saying I have taken this kitten to the local vet several times, but the vet seems stumped. Xray's in the past showed a single marble sized bit of stool that was removed long ago, and labs have been normal. The kitten is a 4-month-old male that has had a chronic issue involving its butt. It will leak stool no matter what we have tried and stays slightly enlarged on any "normal" day. But currently and once before, it looks like a golf ball is inside of its rectum. It is hard and swollen. He can't poop and there is minimal leakage. I have tried everything I can think of: MiraLAX, lactulose, deworming, antibiotic cream and hemorrhoid cream, soft food diet, enemas, warm soaks in water, etc. Like I said it never has had a normal butt. WTF could this be? how can I help this poor kitten?
