Is Xylosma congestum toxic to cats?

I was trimming a big Xylosma hanging over my driveway when I found the hummingbird nest pictured below.

When I set it on the desk, the kitties fell upon it and started munching the leaves. They like it even better than catnip, by far. I had to take it away in an abundance of caution, lest they gobble down poison.

Anyone know if it hurts cats? They sure seem to love it!
