My bf is always going on about the purity and beauty of his subject. I always say that maths needs the other sciences to make it useful. I value bridges, cars and medicine over purity. Admittedly I am studying pharmaceutical chemistry.

My calc teacher likes us to write out all our work becuase he likes to give half credit

if you're doing it correctly but forget a negative sign, then he'll only take off half

Math has always been my worst subject, I think it is because I cannot understand how this is ever gonig to help me in real life
