Our microwave and our food processor died on the same day.

I thought that I might want to get a microwave/convection oven. I went on line and found one for a reasonable price. Meantime, DH researches consumer ratings and picks out one that he likes. We go to our appliance store and we look at them. DH finds the one he liked. I loved it, looked at the price and thought that he wouldn't go for it. Salesman asked how I liked it and I looked at DH and said that it was a little pricey. DH says that it was what he expected to pay.
