I joined a gym!

A national chain called Planet Fitness opened up here just a few miles from my home. Basic, no frills gym - no aerobics classes, no pool, no foo-foo stuff. That's fine with me, I just wanted treadmill, elliptical trainer, bike and resistance training.

$29 joiner fee, $10/month, no contract special.

Did the treadmill and the full circuit of machines. Yay! I need this BADLY!!

that I can keep this up and get a handle on my weight!

Go you!! I have been a member of a gym for a few years now. My fiance used to be part of Planet Fitness but then he decided that my gym was better!!

That's great!!! This reminds me of how terrible I am - I paid my membership to a gym, took a bunch of things there to put in my locker such as a hair dryer, lotion, shampoos, etc...And I only went there for about a month. I still have my stuff there too, my membership expires in may of this year

Gosh I really hope I go a few times at least before may. I bet when my membership expires I will always have the excuse: "I don't have a gym membership" for why I'm not working out as much as I should be ...lol
