She was doing this for a while when she was in the house because of the rain. I don't get why.
Unless she was chased by a coyote, she has no reason to be stressed or threatened. I've been thinking about this. Since it started when she stayed inside because of the rain after spending the spring and summer on the grass and in the dirt. I am thinking she didn't like man made materials and the cat litter simulated the outdoors. Maybe she gets the SAD when the rainy season sets in.Im not a cat expert but the only time I saw a cat lay in its litter box is when my young nephew visited and tormented our cat. Maybe your cat is stressed or threatened?
