Hi! I have adopted a few abandoned kittens, and have been bottle feeding them since they were 3 weeks. One of the kitty's chewed off the nipple of the AP bottle and swallowed it. I called the vet, and they just said they dont do surgeries on cat's this young, signs to watch for and possibility of putting her down. This particular one still has trouble pooping- so this is the one cat who should NOT have swallowed anything! What do I do? I am having major anxiety just sitting here waiting to see if he thrives....

Most times, because it is soft rubber, it passes without incident. Maybe it is time to wean them to a dish and some solid food? Usually around 4-5 weeks. How old is she? I know it is extremely upsetting, but really, this happens a LOT. Is the kitten constipated? A vet shouldn't do surgery without seeing if the kitten safely passes something like this. Kittens can be operated on (neutering, etc.) at 2 lbs. To suggest euthanasia is appalling. I'll tag

Ps. Get home liquid paraffine anyways.... I see the kitten has difficulties with popping.
We usually say give some few drops of olive oil at every meal, usually it helps.
But factum is, liquid paraffine is much more potent....
