Hello!
This little beauty showed up in my garage one afternoon severely underweight, infested with fleas and ticks and looking to get out of the cold. I gave her a place to stay and someone helped me treat her for the fleas/ticks and deworm her. We searched for her family and never could find them, though it was obvious she had one at one time. We decided she could stay here as my 4 year old daughter had fallen in love (and so had I). We named her Piper and she is steadily gaining weight and looking healthy again. Unfortunately for her, I am brand spanking new to cat ownership. Having always had dogs, this is new territory for me...but Piper is a very sweet, loving and patient cat, so I think she'll forgive me. She has a short tail, that I don't know if she was born with or if it's the result of an injury. I am looking forward to learning all about cats and how best to care for our new family member!
