Hello everyone. I'm new here to TCS, but I can't remember a time when I didn't have a cat or cats in my home.
Right now I share my home with my two boys.
This is Simba. My sister in law found him outside the house while walking her dog. I had two cats already so she called me down to take a look. He wasn't even 2 months yet, so we brought him into the garage put him in a cage and fed and watered him. We called Animal Control and I was expecting that when I got back from work he'd be gone.......WRONG!! They never came and it was hot in the garage so I decided to bring him upstairs and keep him in my spare room out of the way of my resident cats until Animal Control could pick him up. They never came and Simba is going to be 3 this coming May. He is very special to me because about 3 months after him moving in, I had to put my 12 year old male cat (Maximus), who was battling hyperthyroidism to sleep. This little guy made the loss easier to bear.
This is Puma. Almost a year after losing my older boy, his liter mate passed away and it was just me and Simba, who was lonely. So I went to the shelter to see if I could adopt a companion for him. This little guy was about 8 months old and was adopted twice and returned twice (apparently he was a handful). I picked him up and he immediately rubbed his head all over my face. It was a wrap he chose me and came home with me that day. Simba took to him instantly and they are the best of friends. Puma just turned 2 in January.
Puma and Simba are looking forward to making lots of friends here.
