Thanks everyone, I've just had it pulled, what a relief.

The worst is over then, it's still probably going to suck for a while but at least the inflammation and swelling has somewhere to go now.

I can sympathize. Most of my back chewing teeth hurt, but too expensive to do anything about it. Can't get them all pulled because then I would be toothless.

Thanks all. I haven't replied earlier due to tons of commitments. Anyway, there's a gap now which takes a bit of getting used to but no pain now.
