This picture is of a friend's cat who is unsure of the growth on their cat's paw. It is almost grayish in color and it resembles a horn. The cat has no front claws (the family who owned before had that done). It is growing in size. It is attached to a pad on the paw. Any ideas of what it is and what should be done? They take very good care of the cat and it is happy and is not in pain.

HI. The picture is kind of blurry, but it could be a cutaneous horn. There are different reasons for its cause, but the fact that is growing warrants a vet visit for a closer examination. Your friend needs to know what they are dealing with in order to find possible solutions. That will require a vet visit for a close up look and an expert's eye.
