Man, my cat is weird.
I had 6 cans of Weruva regular foods and just wanted to see if she would eat it with a tiny bit of Bonito added. NO JOY! I got fed up and just tossed the rest of the box of Weruva cans in the trash.

So....I added just the tiniest bit of Bonito to HER FAVORITE FANCY FEAST Petite fish entre..she took one whiff and walked away! Wouldn;t even eat her favorite! . I have had it!

Krista loved the flakes! Betty couldn't care less for them. Betty isn't a fish cat, though.

Have you thought about just going far out into left field and try something completely different with her?

Something like mouse meat:

Mouser is a new brand that mixes mouse meat with other proteins like turkey, rabbit, chicken, or duck. Since mouse is what cats are designed to eat (far more than fish), this might be a hit with her. Betty loved it. Until she didn't. But Betty's an odd case because of her IBD. She doesn't seem to have any food intolerances (none that I can see in outward symptoms.) But she does seem to have a lot of either nausea or dental pain. When I tried to eliminate her ondansetron, her appetite cratered. By accident (doctor canceled dental appointment after Betty was already preflight drugged up), we discovered gabapentin was a boost to her appetite. When she finally does get that dental and the extractions I'm sure she needs, I expect a different Betty with different tastes when there's no longer this pain in her mouth.

I like buying from Incredible Pets because you can buy single cans rather than whole cases.

I think I will just keep my appointment with the specialist this week and just ask about future use of a Phos Binder as she eats regular foods. I am totally worn out.
