Hi! So I noticed that my cat has some kind of infection on his skin. It was like he had tiny lumps of dead skin cells that were peeling off and he doesn't want me "touching" the area. The skin also seems slightly red and inflamed and he has lost fur on that spot. Does anyone know what might be the problem? For reference he is 8 months old.

I am not sure from the picture; it does not look exactly like ringworm, but could be in the ballpark. Given that he is sensitive to it being touched and it is inflamed, I think you should call the vet. See if they will accept a pic.

Thank you. I've booked an appointment for him next week earliest I could get.
Will keep you updated.
