I am not a fan of Susan Thixton for reasons I will not go into on this post. This article did catch my attention. I feel full disclosure of who I work for and what I am about is extremely important in all of the forums I participate in. It is so obvious in some of my forums who the people are that are actually working for a pet food company but do not disclose it. They are easily identifiable to me.
You may not like the company I work for. You may not like me personally but one thing I will not do is be deceptive or outright lie on a forum. Respect is earned and not an entitlement.

They are Fighting Back

I received a warning from a trusted pet food friend a few days ago. He warned that Big Pet Food is on the move; building pet friendly websites and pushing a collection of new television commercials all appearing to promote new and improved pet foods. 'They' are fighting back against the educated petsumer.
I take what my trusted pet food friend tells me very seriously. Dr. Gary Pusillo is THE pet food/animal food guru. He knows what's going on in pet food/animal food. So when I received a warning from my friend, I felt it was significant; this was the first time I've heard this type of concern from him.
Here is some of what Dr. Gary shared with me...
"Special offers and promotions are invading every aspect of the internet, and there is a growing number of corporate sponsored pet help sites that are disguised as being as saintly and genuine as Mother Theresa."
"Corporate giants in the pet industry are hiring Veterinarians, PhDs, dog groomers, dog trainers and professional writers to infiltrate chat rooms, discussion forums and all matter of internet sites which authentic pet owners frequent. These hired liars betray the decency and integrity of humankind, all for a profit that is obscene. Countless spiritually devoid professionals daily sell their soul for company identity."
