So my boyfriend and I found a cat in a tree outside our place, we took her to the vet 24 days ago turns out she was between 40-50 days pregnant, she has been leaking clear fluid from her nipples for the past 3 days, what are the chances she is going to give birth soon?
She also really wants to go outside but we don't want to let her out in case she has her kittens out there

She was more like 45 days pregnant 24 days ago because cat pregnancy runs between 9 and 10 weeks.

Leaking fluid means her milk is beginning to come in. She will be going into labor soon. Anytime now really.

Do not let her out.

Have you made a nest for her? It needs to be in a quiet, private place like a bedroom closet. Show it to her.

She needs 24/7 access to dry kitten chow, fresh water, and several wet food meals daily.

Please get her spayed when the kittens are 8 weeks old. Do you have a local low-cost spay clinic?

Thanks for giving her a home.

Keep us posted! :)

Thanks for your reply.
She has a nesting box, refuses to go in it.
I feed her wet food 3 times a day and she has access to dried food and water all the time.
She doesn't seem to be going into labor, quite energetic.
I haven't felt the babies move for about 2 days now.

Towards the end you usually feel less fetal movement since they have moved towards the birthing canal and there is less room for them to move! It sounds like she is due any day now!

Is there a chance she could be putting off birth because she can't get outside?

I could only get a photo of 2. I haven't weighed them yet, but will be taking them and mum to the vet in a week
She gave birth 2 days ago.
Such a wonderful experience, will be finding them good homes or keeping them.

They don't need to go to the vet for a check up unless you suspect something is wrong. Weighing them every day will allow you to track their progress and intervene if necessary.

Right! No vet check needed until they are 8 weeks and start vaccines. Mom can be spayed when the kittens are 8 weeks old.
