I mowed the yard this afternoon, maybe for the last time this year, we're not sure yet. While I did that, Rick was busy digging out our cannas and elephant ears from the beds. We still have a lot of cutting down to do, so we're hoping that next weekend will be nice enough to spend outside. It's really blustery outside, but not real cold. A bit on the chilly side. We had flannel shirts and sweatshirts on today.
Meanwhile, I changed the bed sheets this morning. I put some flannel sheets on the bed. Our lows this week will dip into the low 40's, possibly high 30's, and we don't have the heat turned on in the house yet. I mentioned to Rick about flannels and he said he was thinking about them, too, and to go ahead. No electric blanket on the bed. Yet.
Are we the only ones who put flannels on the bed so far? I really mind the chill, so I tend to put them on fairly early.
While I did vacuum about the house this morning, I didn't vacuum/clean out the registers. I should probably do that tomorrow/Monday since I'm off work anyway. That way, if it does get cold, we can turn the heat on in the house. I'd like to wait until the beginning of November to turn heat on, but we'll see how things go.
