I think of all the places to have family things handed down through generations, the kitched really tops the list. It's usually the hub of the home, so kitchen stuff has that nurturing, family vibe. I just had a cuppa with a friend and used my grandmother's beautiful old Doulton set, sitting at the 100+ year old kitchen table. It feels like tapping in to so much history.
