hello everyone
i have a very urgent matter and need your help

"grey" is 9 days old kitten started behaving strange this morning
he started creating a wired strange sounds .. his mother "Mimi" feeded him well and cared for him (she doesn't ignore him).
half an hour ago his 4 limbs went cold suddenly and the sound of pain continued.
it became worse now, he cant move very weak and scream in pain every 5 sec..
we contacted a vet and they said he's too small for medication and nothing they can do about it.

i just searched the net and i suspect grey has a fading kitten syndrome
we are keeping him warm .. he stopped feeding .. barely move .. shout allot
what else could we do to help him ?

thank you

He is probably dying. What to try with to give Life a chance?

Keep him warm as you do. Ie actively warming up. An IR-heating lamp is perfect, otherwise keep at your chest is good. Massage him, limbs and body...

Talk sweetly, sing sweetly.

Pray.

His digestation has probably stopped, as is common in most very weak kittens or dying kittens.
What to try with as they must get something, is to give pedialyte.
Bough pedialyte for children, flavorless clear is best.

Otherwise you make your own: 1 cup of water. 1 teaspoon of white caro syrup or honey, a trifle salt....

The glucose sugar in there is absorbed directly into blood, doesnt need to be digested.
This is no remedicum, is he dying so he is dying. But if not, it may buy you time.

Im relieved to hear the pains left Grey before he passed away. His pains were bothering me. As he got peace before the end, he knew and felt he was loved, both by his biological momma and his human parents. His soul is thus resting in peace.

Momma. Yes, they are mourning. Cat moms are usually good parents.
Try the best you can to give her consolation. Let her feel you are with her, holding her company. Making soft, friendly sounds. Sing a little if you are any good at it...
Mourning is the price of love, so its natural both of these.

Was Grey the only child?
If so, a very good solution is if you can get foster childs to Meme. Kittens or even puppies.
Not only to help out Memes mourning, but most important, because Meme is apparently a very good momma.
This way, you can still turn around this horrible catastrophe into a splendid victory of life over death....

Depending on where you are, you can contact vets around - whom usually know where there are orphans or very big litters, or sick mommas whom need relief.

Or contact some shelters around. Many shelters are full of kittens, and if they dont have fosterhomes, they must pts them...

The to be cautious, is wise if you are reasonably sure these kittens are reasonably healthy. You dont want to draw some horrible disease on Meme. For example, the kittens are orphans because momma died of say, Felv...

Otherwise its a win - win situation.
