Eye spots

I recently posted this photo on Reddit, and someone asked about the spots on her eyes. Particularly that one on her left eye. I never really noticed them before, and ever since the commenter pointed them out I’ve been a bit anxious about it.

shes 7, and I don’t know if that’s due to age? Anyways, at her next wellness exam I’ll ask the vet. Does anybody else’s kitty have similar spots?

di and bob gave a great answer back then. I’d recommend reading the original post, but, to summarize what di and bob said, a spot like this is most likely iris melanosis, which is harmless. Keep an eye on it, though, and definitely bring it up at her next vet appointment. Of course, you could also email that picture to your vet now, to see if they think that it’s worth getting looked at sooner.

I would just have the vet check it out at the next appt. As long as the cornea is smooth and they are not protruding, it is usually harmless.
