Ear Mite After Care

Hello,

I am officially a new mommy 2 a second kitten, but found out he has ear mites. I went to the vet 2 weeks ago did a treatment. Had a 2 week follow up on Monday found out he still has ear mites. I looked in his ears yesterday Tuesday and noticed his ears is very dirty. Is that normal after ear Mite treatment he just had? Making sure the vet is doing it right so I can finally introduce him to his brother.

Even if ear mite are gone and the dirt are still building up in there, it could be yeast infection. It is better to see the vet again.

I was making sure they did a proper job, I wanted to know are the ears supposed to be cleaned when they did ear ointment, because his ears wasn't cleaned at all.

I agree that if you still see "dirt" in the ears that something is either not working or a new problem has crept in so it would be a good idea to see the vet.
