A former doctor helps save dogs' lives who otherwise would be PTS in shelters that don't have enough room by flying them across the country. Although mostly dogs he also transports some cats too.

That is such a touching article! There are a few groups who do that. I have a friend in ME who was asked to adopt a dog from FL....long story....and it was, I think, Pilots N Paws that flew the GSD up to her. A couple of my doctors work with Flying Samaritans who send medical professionals to Mexico for procedures and surgeries. Some people in the world try to do some good, thankfully.
