Decided to try and make some chewy stick treats. I Googled "cat treat recipe" to see what ingredients others were using, and London's oldest animal rescue centre, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, came up, so felt safe to follow their recipes. The first one I came to was using Tuna; Shani loves it but Timmy's not keen, so I changed mine to use chicken liver instead. I boiled the liver 200g - 7 oz (apart from a small amount I gave to them raw, to get them out of the kitchen), in as little water as I could get away with. Once cooked, I zipped it up in a blender leaving it a little rough and added one whisked egg. I them mixed in wholemeal flour till I had a dough, flattened it out on greased backing tray, and baked at gas 4 - 350F for 25 minutes. It was a winner, hooray!" 2/3 will go in freezer and the rest in fridge.
