Morning Everyone!

My pregnant feral ("Boo") gave birth to 5 beautiful kittens Monday evening! Everyone is doing great but I have some concerns about their Mom. She has some intermittent fast breathing. I don't know if its stress, nursing 5 kittens or low calcium.

I'm just curious how ya'll have supplemented diets for nursing queens and what I can give her to make sure that she's getting everything she needs. She's currently at 3 to 4 cans of wet food a day, mixed with water and a little bit of goats milk for extra nutrients. (The goats milk was recommended to me by a feral group.)

Yes goats milk is excellent. You can increase the amount if you wish. If she likes cheese its ok too.

Is Boo being kept inside for the first time? That could certainly contribute to stress, but she should relax some as she adjusts. Does she have a partially covered nest for her and the babies?
