i had forgotten all about that kind of sandals. growing up in Germany in the 60's & early 70's i tcan't think of a time when i didn't have at least 1 pair like that around. we used to call them Holzkleppers. they are so comfortable.
now i'm usually bare-foot when i'm home. i have a bad habit of taking my sandals off if i go somewhere and sit, like at a restaurant. DH is ready to leave and i'm trying to find my shoes under the table. and the minute we'll walk in the house my shoes are usually off.
