The Christmas tree for 2012........
If you look closely at the second picture, there's a Muffin under the tree.
I think it's going to be an only tree this year as we're not going to get the other trees up and decorated.
You know, I don't think I really like the LED lights all that much, at least the blue lights....I think they're way too.......something. Blue? Bright? Off-color? I don't know. Those big lights? Are lights inside bells and the bells really throw the light out there. But well, it's our tree for this year....and quite possibly for the last year as this tree has seen better days (and better behaved cats!).
Our son called last night and it seems that they would like to come up now on December 29th for our Christmas. I think I said in another post that they wanted to come up this year on Christmas, but since they've already done that for the past two years, it did not go over well with DIL's family. And that's OK. December 29 will still be Christmas to us, as long as the kids are here with us.
Rick's parents and my brother and SIL are still coming for dinner on Christmas and I'm not sure, but I think my sister and BIL and sister's MIL and BIL are now coming for Christmas dinner, too. That's OK as we ordered a 16-rib crown roast, so there will still be plenty of food.
But when our son talked to me, he asked if there was any way that I could make a standing rib roast for our Saturday Christmas; they're having turkey with the in-laws and they just had turkey on Thanksgiving). With Yorkshire pudding and the whole bit. Of course, I said yes, so I just ordered a small rib roast now from the butcher to be picked up on the 28th. The butcher laughed and said that he thought he had us down for the crown roast and I said, well yeah, but the rib roast is for our dinner with our son. (And Rick's parents who will come back on the 29th in order to spend time with the kids.)
So I guess I'll be doing two holiday dinners in less than a week!
