Cats of Morocco

I’ve recently come back from a trip to Morocco and would thoroughly recommend for cat lovers! I stayed in Marrakech and Essaouira, and Essaouira particularly was a cat paradise! You really do feel like you’re a guest in their city, and the locals let them sleep in doorways and shops at night - there is a particular bond between the locals and street cats. Here are some I met (I very nearly took one home!):

Thank you everyone! I thought TCS would like to hear about my trip, especially as Essaouira in particular is a real sanctuary for so many street cats, and there are lots of locals who are working to give them a happy and healthy life despite their circumstances on the street.
