So late night Dec 23rd I noticed something odd- checked WL's teeth close and welp her front Caine was missing. I felt / feel awful. How could I not have noticed! In my defense a little she had her annual visit mid Oct 2021 and all was well - teeth included.
Christmas eve I managed to get some painkillers for her thanks to the Dr's. (They were only open until noon x-mas eve) I watched her very closely in case we had to take an ER trip. Thankfully not. I got her in today for a look thankfully as it was the first day they were open.
The general thoughts are that something was wrong with the tooth under the surface that couldn't be known about or seen and that she probably feels much better now that it's gone. It's slightly infected so I have anti-biotics for her. I declined the Convenia (I think that's what its called) and I opted for pills in case of allergy.
They will be checking her in two weeks.
We can deduce that there is a potential for more unseen issues here, so we will be scheduling x-rays with the thought that it will lead to dental surgery as there are probably more issues.
She has lip entrapment, small and seems to be healing so I can watch and see how she does with that.
***For those who don't know what lip entrapment is...Lip entrapment info here.***
Her sister had / has TR and was taken up to a dental specialist in Feb 2021. I keep this in mind has from what I've read sometimes TR does not have symptoms until you see under the gum. As her sister had this I'm thinking perhaps I need to take her to the dental specialist as well. Not that I don't trust or like her Vets - I love them and they are AWESOME but if this is TR I think she needs the specialist. To be clear - her Dr's haven't mentioned that possibility - it's simply what I'm thinking.
