I have had several cats who used their paw to drink their water from their bowl.

Trouble is, those adorable foofy little feets go everywhere, including on the ground, and in the litter box, taking all kinds of gack with them. Cats lick them, bless their hearts. I wouldn't lick my feet even if I could bend that far . . . .
Conan, aka Shifferbrains does the paw-dippy thing, too, and tries it in my water cup by the bed. Book over top solves the problem, at least for now.
