Cat Twitching / Vomit After Spay and Metacam

My cat was spayed Friday night and was prescribed Metacam for 3 days.
She has been out of it, so I took her in for a follow-up yesterday and she passed all the tests.
However, today she vomited pure phlegm and it seems like she is experiencing GI issues from the Metacam. Is this common?
She has also had some weird spasms on her back, kind of like twitches or twinges.
Any insight is appreciated.

Are you giving the Metacam with food? It can cause intestinal discomfort yes.

A twitchy back is usually due to overstimulation or being over hyper. Can happen with being cooped up after surgery.

Yes, have been giving with food before and after dosage. Vet told me to discontinue it.
I hope its just that...

Metacam actually has a black label warning not to give it to cats because it can force them into acute renal failure.

I have told my vet to never give it to my cats. Only the injectable is approved for once time use in cats.
