On Friday our cat started throwing up she was still eating but would throw up that continued on Saturday. On Sunday we took her to urgent care they gave her anti naseau she fluid she stopped throwing up but hasn't eaten much since. On Monday we also took her to an Emergency vet and Tuesday her own vet. They all say tests are good it's her stomach. We are giving her high calorie food by syringe and she had has fluids given to her. Anyone experience this? All the vets have also said give it time. Thank you for all and any help!

Welcome to TCS! :wave3: I'm sorry your cat is not feeling well but glad you brought her to the emergency vet. Can you explain what type of tests they did? Did they do bloodwork? A little more information would be helpful, e.g. how old is your cat, how long has she lived with you, does she go outdoors and does she have any other health issues? I hope she perks up soon.:alright:

Thank you fir replying so glad I found this forum. Blood work was complete blood count and also pancreatitis levels. We have had her 9 years she is still sidish a bit but she came from a bad situation we think she was around one when we adopted her. No other health issues and never outdoors. I do want to add she had pooped some very little each day. We love this girl so much we want to help her and it's sad to see this was a huge ester before this

I am so sorry you and your kitty are going through this.
How much are you feeding her at a time, and how often? It's very good that you have a high calorie food, a little bit of that goes a long way. :)

Hello the test did not show high in pancreatist. Coco drank some water today but still on a high calorie diet. She improved a lot today even looked out the window at birds!
This is very encouraging!! I hope she continues to improve! :)

Is she overweight? Keep an eye on her and be alert to any hint of yellow on the skin inside her ears or in her eyes.

At this point, ( I am not a vet, so this is just what I would do if she was mine) I would get a referral to a specialist for an abdominal ultrasound. I think that will provide the best information as to what is going on. You can ask your vet for a referral.

It is so important that she eats right now. Have they talked about an appetite stimulant? Mirtazipine comes in a transdermal formula that is easy to use. Talk to your vet about that.
Can you post the blood work results.
I truly hope everything works out.

Has the vet recommended doing an ultrasound? An X-ray won't show all of the details that an ultrasound will and it may give you more information.

Hi everyone . Sorry I an new to the site and didn't realize I had replies. Coco is doing better and eating and drinking. We had given her high calorie food in a stringe. The vet says it was a bad stomach bug. I didn't know that was even possible ..she is not 100 percent but definitely getting better and stronger. Thank you all I was so worried,!

I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this hardship with your cat. I’ve had many odd health issues with my own fur babes.. one of my cats will ONLY drink out of a 4 spout fountain — very inexpensive on Amazon. When my cats have had issues relatively similar, I like to utilize Churu’s (a very liquid based treat) Also I find with any gut issues, diarrhea, vomiting, etc. a healthy white rice has helped. A lot of things will be trial and error as every cat is so very different. I wish you the best of luck & sending healing vibes your way! 🤗

One of my female cats goes absolutely bonkers for plain white rice. I think she would run past a bucket of KFC to get to a tiny dish of the stuff. Who knew! I'm glad you have found a good solution for your cats. :)

They are so funny the things they like. This particular cat loves rice, but will not touch an egg white!
