i hope someone can respond to this..my (16 yr old) cat was licking some chocolate frosting from a chocolate sugar wafer about 30 min. ago. I don't know how much she ate, not a lot, but the ingreds. on the package say cocoa is the 7th or 8th ingredient and they don't taste strong of chocolate flavor. How long will it take for her to get sick if she is going to? any other suggestions would be appreciated :( thanks for your help! :)

You should contact your Vet immediately and discuss this with them. If they are not open, try contacting Pet Poison Control. There are a couple different ones, and they may charge different fees, but it's probably worth it.

My young cat managed to steal two tiny bits of chocolate from a bar I was eating, and ate them.
And this was real chocolate, 70% cocoa. She's still fine.

I'm not saying that it isn't dangerous, but just wanted to say that you could not worry too much. Anyway, keep an eye on her and meanwhile call your vet, just in case.
