So long story short, a litter of kittens was abandoned in my area, and the shelters are almost over capacity, so I will be caring for one of the young kittens. She's about 6/7 weeks old, and I want to give her the best care possible. So far, I've kept her quarantined in the bathroom so my resident cat won't stress her out. I've also been feeding her a 5.5 or 6oz can of wet food each day(I rotate different brands), split into 4 meals (6am before work, 12pm on my lunch break, 5pm when I get home, and 10pm before bed). I also occasionally give her a small amount of Stella & Chewy's dehydrated raw food or Orijen Cat & Kitten food soaked in warm water if she gets hungry between meals. I also usually add a little water to the canned food so it's a little softer as well. I wasn't sure if I should buy KMR, or if there's anything else I can do for her.

You are doing a great job! :)

KMR until 12 weeks is good for the kitten. You can put it in a saucer for the kitten to drink, or you can soften dry food with it.

The kitten does need dry food available between all meals.

Does the kitten have toys and something to climb on in the bathroom?

Thank you for caring for her!
