My vet recommends this . What does it do? My cat blood work normal. Teeth still good. She had 1 tooth taken out in December.
I wanted another opinion so this was brought up.

How does this help my cat?

A calorie gel just adds extra calories. This is useful for sick cats who aren't eating much, pregnant and lactating cats, and kittens.

You could try a little bit of crushed up treats or a bit of lickable treat on top of food to entice the cat to eat. A teeny sprinkle of FortiFlora could also be used on occasion.

My vet recommended a calorie gel when my cat wasn't eating enough. It helped add some calories to her diet. You might try it if your kitty is losing weight.
