I completely understand your being upset at the broken glasses. I'd cry, and then I'd clean up-just as you did.
Wanna laugh? When I was dating my husband, oh 20 years ago, he was building the "Mets Clubhouse" in the Roosevelt field Mall. At lunch time, he stopped and filled out a credit application for A&S, my FAVORITE store at the time-I have all the Christmas Abearham and Strauss the mouse animals...anyway, he did it to get me a Mug they were giving away.
I still have this mug. It sits in my cabinet and my children know one thing in this world...they'd better drink from a rolled up leaf before touching my A&S mug.
I'm a little kooky, but nobody dares touch the mug. They've broken all my wedding china,(Mikasa) and one of my good vases (Belleek). The free mug is hands off.
