I would like to know if anyone has an idea of what is going on as he seems to have blood vomit every 8 days. Second time was pretty intense that took him to near death, but miraculously started to recover up till his normal self again, with great appetite. Unfortunately last night he had another bloody vomit, almost sounded like a cough but unsure, and he was twisting and turning with uncomfortableness.

Here’s the recording so far:

Sunday 6/11 - spit up a little blood, otherwise OK. Good week afterwards with normal appetite. Blood color was bright red.

Monday 6/19 - vomited small amounts of blood in the morning. Feed him that evening, then massive bloody vomiting of food. Near death. Improved steadily afterwards.

Wednesday morning 6/28 - massive bloody vomiting, small amount of hair, no food.

The photo is how he looks now, 10 hours after his last incident.

Hi. So sorry that this is happening to your kitty. Poor little guy. Is there a rotation of foods that he eats that could explain the on-off bloody vomit? How is he doing otherwise, drinking/peeing/pooping without issues? Is there some correlation other than food rotation that might explain the pattern with his vomiting blood?

Of course, you know that he needs to be seen by a vet, and possibly have x-rays or an ultrasound done to see what is going on with his stomach/throat and perhaps his entire digestive tract.

He is drinking and bit by not started to eat liquid like foods. He had little stool since he hasn’t been eating much so I am hopeful that his digestive system is working in place. Otherwise we haven’t been rotating the food so I don’t think it is food related… so hard to see him like this. We have been taking him to vets but we already spent so much that we really don’t have that much options left financially. Hoping if I can find some holistic remedies.

Can you call the vets that he has seen and ask for advice. Unfortunately, this is serious as you know snd there is nothing other than seeing the right veterinarian that can help. If you look on the information pages there is advice if you can’t afford vet care.

this is something serious. at the very least you want to see about getting him some bupromophine from your vet for pallitive care if you can't help him otherwise. call the vet and ask them about this. your vet should be willing to at least have a discussion with you over the phone about it if nothing else and will surely offer better advice than we can give here.

this to me sounds like the kind of thing that is going to kill him without care. massive bloody puking is serious. and the longer you let it go on without fixing it the worse it is for your little guy. if he's been to the vet what did they have to say before?

there are some things that can cause some blood in vomit that are mostly harmless like eating grass that had too sharp or bugs but they aren't going to cause massive amounts of blood.
